Required of all staff working in a facility with patients with Alzheimers or Dementia. One hour is mandatory for all staff, no matter your job title; with an additional 3 hours required of all hands on providers.
LPN Leadership and Supervision Training
Required of all LPNs working in nursing home facilities as per Chapter 64B9-16, FAC. Overseeing CNAs is considered supervision. This 30 hour class is done in three 10 hour classes. It includes lecture, overheads, handouts, sharing, interactive assignments and lots of fun. It's a great way to meet other colleagues, network and make new friends.
Prevention of Medical Errors
Mandatory 2 hours for each renewal cycle for all licensed nurses.
Medical Records Documentation and Legal Aspects for CNAs
A new requirement for Florida CNAs. This one and a half (1.5) hour class includes different aspects of medical record documentation (ADL flow sheets, meal intake, shower sheets, etc.) as well as areas of risk management, abuse prevention and reporting, confidentiality and dignity.
